Our restaurant is named after the film “The Gold of Naples”, wherein Sophia Loren took the silver screen and the world by storm as the leading lady back in 1954.
The various stories are set in Naples and really get across the mood of this city in the mid-1950s. The gold of Naples is the Neapolitan people's hope and will to survive.
Sophia Loren – beauty and a maternal figure in one, plays the lead, a passionate pizza maker. She became an on-screen goddess as well as Italy's “mamma nazionale”.
